But this practice isn\u2019t about control\u2014it\u2019s about awareness. It\u2019s an invitation to slow down and feel what your body does in relationship. To notice your pattern, your shape, in the moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\ud83e\udded What\u2019s a Grab Practice?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In session, I\u2019ll gently place my hand on your arm, your shoulder, or another agreed-upon place\u2014slow, grounded, no surprises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not a pull. Not a wrench. Just:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Contact. Intention. Pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And then we wait.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not to do anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What happens in your breath?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your belly?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your jaw?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do you lean in? Pull back? Go numb? Rush to make it okay?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whatever shows up\u2014that\u2019s your shaped response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s gold. It tells us where your nervous system already knows what to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And then we practice\u2026 something different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\ud83d\udc63 Grab Practice: Try It on Your Own<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a modified version you can explore at home. Nothing fancy. Just curiosity and a willingness to listen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 1: Ground<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Sit or stand in a way that feels supported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Feel your feet. Notice your breath. Settle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 2: Make Contact<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Gently place one hand on your opposite arm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just enough pressure to feel it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not aggressive. Not passive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just\u2026 contact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 3: Notice<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Pause and listen. What happens?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Do your shoulders lift?<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Does your breath catch or deepen?<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Is there a story running?<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A protective response?<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A familiar emotion?<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019re not trying to change it. You\u2019re just getting to know it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 4: Regulate<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Take a breath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Feel your feet again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Release the hand\u2014or keep it\u2014and practice saying (aloud or silently):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m here. I get to choose how I respond.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Repeat as needed. There\u2019s no wrong way. Just practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\ud83e\ude9e What\u2019s the Point?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This isn\u2019t about fixing yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s about revealing your shape\u2026 and inviting a new one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Little by little, you\u2019ll start to notice that you have more choices in moments that used to feel automatic. That\u2019s the shift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And if you want to go deeper, I\u2019d love to do this with you in session. It\u2019s powerful stuff.
